The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce and welcome you to the
(ISLA-6) that will be held at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA
September 30 – October 3, 2019.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA, to participate in the 6th International Symposium on Liquid Metals Applications for Fusion (ISLA-2019) from September 30 to October 3, 2019.

This conference continues the series of meetings on lithium and liquid metal applications in fusion devices previously organized in Japan, USA, Italy, Spain, and Russia. This year we have broadened the scope to include liquid metals, loop systems, safety and handling. The peer review journal, Fusion Engineering and Design, will have a special issue dedicated to ISLA-2019 in which participants will have the opportunity to publish papers based on their presentations.

The Symposium will be held at the Illini Union in the heart of the beautiful University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus where we will have fruitful discussion of the latest scientific results in liquid metals. The University of Illinois is home to the world class Center for Plasma Material Interactions (CPMI) and is the home of the stellarator/tokamak Hybrid Illinois Device for Research and Applications (HIDRA).Also, you will be just minutes away from downtown Champaign, downtown Urbana and within walking distance of several museums.

We look forward to seeing you in Urbana-Champaign!
