About the Game

The Culture Card Game (sometimes called The Competing Values Framework) is a research-based exploration of organizational and individual behavior. Developed by University of Michigan faculty, and modified by Haworth Company, the Culture Card Game is played by distributing a set of color-coded cards relating to one of four dimensions: Collaborate, Compete, Create, and Control. Each dimension is characterized by goals and behaviors that emphasize different aspects of organizational responsibilities and how they affect our belief systems and performance. Fast-paced and fun the game generates surprisingly accurate insights into subtle but important aspects of organizational life including college and department culture, leadership and management styles, strategic goals, pressing problems, and desired outcomes. CEU credit is available.
