Campus is committed to the residential learning experience and continues to explore opportunities to improve and update academic spaces across campus. Natural History building: renovation is nearly complete with two new flexible classrooms opening in the Spring of 2017.
Armory building: construction began this Summer on new CITL offices as well as formal and informal learning spaces planned for completion by Fall 2017.
Psychology building: two new flexible-learning classrooms are currently in design and should be available by Spring 2018.
Everitt Lab: construction plans call for five new flexible classrooms as well as the new Jump Simulation Center opening in Fall 2018.

The Illinois Design Center breaking ground in 2017
The new Illinois Design Center is one component of a larger cross-campus, multidisciplinary effort to harness the potential of design thinking and design learning in our teaching, research and engagement.
