The 52nd annual meeting of the Society for French Historical Studies will take place on 20-23 April 2006. It will be sponsored by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with support from area universities. Sessions on Friday April 21 and Saturday April 22 will be at the Illini Union, which anchors the university quad. Keynote speakers will include Julian Jackson (University of London), Christian Jouhaud (EHESS and CNRS), and Ségolène LeMen (Paris X, ENS). The welcoming reception on Thursday evening will take place in the Krannert Art Museum, which is organizing an exhibition of our spectacular WWI poster collection in honor of the conference.
