Post-Retreat Activities

Spring Post-Retreat Activities: Call for Presenters and Facilitators

Deadline is extended to January 25, 2010

New this year, to build on the theme of this year’s Retreat—creativity and innovation in teaching—we are inviting faculty to be presenters/facilitators for activities during the spring semester after the Faculty Retreat.

  1. Faculty Speaker Series. Propose a lecture on the theme of creativity and innovation in teaching (e.g., highlight a novel approach to teaching, an activity, assignment, module, or class that promotes student creativity, and/or a unique way that you engage students in or out of class).
  2. Reading Groups. Facilitate a reading group to explore Keith Sawyer’s Group Genius: The Creative Power of Collaboration (books may be checked out from CTE).
  3. Interactive Sessions. Propose a workshop, panel discussion, or brownbag session about creativity and innovation in teaching.
