About

Join us for the seventh annual Public Engagement Symposium on March 10, 2015 from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center, 601 South Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, Illinois.

Your participation will provide faculty, staff, students, and community partners the opportunity to share innovative ideas and approaches to community engagement activities. We hope you will learn from, support, and celebrate the quality and variety of our scholarly and creative community engagement efforts.

The symposium will feature poster presentations and displays on community engagement projects. Proposals for posters/displays are due by February 6, 2015. To submit a proposal, visit the Call for Proposals page.

All symposium activities will focus on the theme: Changing Lives Through Engagement.

Sponsored by the Office of Public Engagement and the Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning, it is our hope to enlighten, educate, and inspire; to strengthen relationships; and to develop a culture of engagement across the campus and local communities.

The symposium is free and open to the public.

Light refreshments will be served.
