Program

The technical program of the 2012 International Hydrogen Conference will consist of invited and submitted papers (oral and poster) presented primarily in morning and evening sessions. This format will leave most afternoons free for informal technical interactions among attendees and opportunities for recreation. Attendees are encouraged to bring informal attire for the technical sessions and for exploring the surrounding parks.

Poster Presentations
The poster sessions are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from about 10-11 am. Each poster session coincides with a break in the oral presentation program, so during this time the conference attendees will be directed to the poster presentation area. During the poster sessions, we request that presenters stand by their posters to answer questions from the conference attendees.

We request that each poster be set up by 7 pm on the evening preceding your poster session. Following your morning poster session, you can keep your poster in place to allow conference attendees to continue to browse your poster throughout the day. We then request that you remove your poster by 6 pm that evening, in order to allow the next set of presenters to set up their posters.

We have asked Jackson Lake Lodge to provide 6 rolling cork boards in the poster session area. We have planned that each rolling cork board can accommodate 4 posters, with 2 posters on each side. Since not all posters can be accommodated on the cork boards, posters can also be attached to the "air walls" in the room. The poster session area is the Homesteader/Prospector/Wrangler Rooms adjacent to the Explorers Room.

Since this is an international conference, we request that you use SI units in your presentation. If data are presented in other units (i.e., "English" units), we request that SI units be provided in parallel on each plot or table.

Push pins will be supplied for attaching the posters to the rolling cork boards or air walls.

Oral Presentations
We are providing a PC laptop computer with LCD projector for the oral presentations. If you have other audio-visual needs, please contact us. You can request that your presentation file is deleted from the laptop computer following your presentation.

The preferred electronic presentation file format is PowerPoint. If you need to show your presentation in PDF format, please contact us.

Please bring your electronic files on a USB flash drive. We encourage you to include your surname and which session you are presenting in (e.g. Tuesday AM, Wednesday PM) in your file name.  You can transfer electronic files from your flash drive to the laptop computer at the conference. If you need to make other arrangements for your electronic files, please contact us.

The oral presentation schedule is quite tight, so all presentation files must be loaded on the laptop computer before your session (morning, evening or afternoon) starts. We encourage you to load your files well in advance of your session. Several student assistants will be available to facilitate transfer of files to the laptop computer.

Please be mindful of the scheduled time for your presentation. Except for the opening session on Sunday evening, each invited paper has 30 minutes for the presentation (including questions) and each contributed paper has 20 minutes for the presentation (including questions). The session chairs will be instructed to firmly maintain the schedule. Since one tradition of this conference series is fostering discussion, we request that each presenter allow at least 5 minutes for questions before the end of their allotted time.
